About Us

This Irish Community NSW Website is a not-for-profit facility provided by and for the Irish Community. It aims to be a single online focal point for people living in and visiting NSW who are interested in finding out about events that the many Irish cultural and sporting groups and businesses put on throughout the year.

The Website is managed by volunteers that its major sponsors, supporters and stakeholders put forward to represent the Irish Community’s interests and uphold the objectives of the organisation.

Background

There is a lively and varied Irish Community scene in operation in Sydney and wider New South Wales. Many regular activities, ranging from cultural to sporting and everything in between take place on a regular basis.

Several groups representing the Irish Community in NSW decided to establish a Website to be a one-stop-shop for information on Irish community life in Sydney and the wider NSW area, to further promote the work of existing organisations and to boost the membership and profile of events and groups in Sydney.
