The National Archives of Ireland (Irish: Cartlann Náisiúnta na hÉireann) is the official repository for the state records of the Republic of Ireland. It holds information including research and genealogical material, online databases, including convict transportation records.
Property Registration Authority, Dublin
The Property Registration Authority (Irish: an tÚdarás Clárúcháin Maoine) is the central Irish government authority which manages and controls the Registry of Deeds and the Land Registry and promotes and extends the registration of title to land. It maintains two separate systems for recording transactions in relation to property in Ireland:
- The Registration of Title system operated by the Land Registry since 1892
- The Registry of Deeds system operated by the Registry of Deeds since 1708
