Celtic Studies Foundation (University of Sydney)
The Celtic Studies Foundation is part of the Faculty of Arts at Sydney University. The aim of the Foundation is to raise money to support teaching and research in Celtic Studies at the University of Sydney. The Foundation values its contacts with members of the community who support our aims.
Through the Faculty of Arts, a number of units covering Celtic history, mythology, literature and medieval languages are available to undergraduate students as part of the B.A. and related degrees.
Postgraduate research degree programmes - he Master of Philosophy and the Doctor of Philosophy - are also available.
The combination of expert academics and an outstanding research library collection make the University of Sydney the premier institution in Australia for Celtic Studies.

Iora Rua
Iora Rua (Red Squirrel) is an online resource centre for people learning Irish. Here you can look up recipes, read cartoons, order calendars, glance cards and other useful materials in the Irish language.
Australian Celtic Journal
The Australian Celtic Journal was established in 1988 by the Celtic Council of Australia and the University of Sydney's Celtic Studies Foundation. The aim of the Journal was to provide a forum for Australian Celticists, both academics and community members.
The Albert Dryer Memorial library
The Irish National Association of Australasia's Albert Dryer Memorial Library was named in honour of its founder who died in the 1960s. The library was enlarged and relocated on the first floor of INA House in Surry Hills in 2001.
The Library’s collection is large and covers Irish history, music, poetry, drama and other cultural areas. Many of the books are now quite rare and were donated to the Library by Irish-Australians whose forebears had brought them from Ireland in the nineteenth century. There are also facsimile copies of several medieval manuscripts including the famous Book of Kells.
The Library holds a number of special functions each year, and provides general access to the library on Monday evenings when it is open between 6 and 8pm, as well as on Saturday mornings by appointment. Telephone: (02) 9212 1587.

New Zealand-born Professor Emeritus Patrick O'Farrell was one of Australasia's most important historians. This site is dedicated to his life and career and contains links to research facilities concerning Irish and Catholic history in Australia.
The Australian Institute of Celtic Studies
The Australian Institute of Celtic Studies in Newcomen St, Newcastle provides performance groups, education, lessons and activities:
- Music and Singing (including the Celtic Studies Singers).
- Art and Celtic History, at the centre and associated venues.
- Celtic Languages (including Welsh, Scots and Irish Gaelic).
- Dance (Welsh, Scots and Irish).
- Distance learning. is available for selected History and Music courses and Special Interest Subjects.
- A newsletter subscription provided by e-mail or post detailing current and upcoming events and information.
The Institute Centre is home to THE AUSTRALIAN CELTIC SINGERS and THE CELTIC LINK band.
